Zahara
Zahara (owner of Zahara's Tangled Web), has been bellydancing for nearly ten years. Her unique style of bellydance fusion blends strong Middle Eastern dance training with tribal and gothic dance influences.
She's studied with some
of the most recognized names in bellydance, including Artemis Mourat, Asharah, Aziza, Kaeshi (of Belly Queen), Tempest,
Ariellah, Sashi (of Ascend Tribal), Jill Parker, Delilah, Suzanna Del Vecchio, Arish Lam, and Carolena
Nericcio.
Zahara has been a featured performer at The Cincinnati Witches Ball, The
Cincinnati Zoo, Aquarius Star, Andy’s Mediterranean Grill, Cafe Mediterranean,
the Frank Duveneck Arts & Cultural Center’s
2009 fundraiser, and World Music Fest in Covington KY.
Zahara is the writer,
creator, and organizer of the annual “Carnival Noir” variety show, and has also been an instructor at the Gothalyptic
2008 and 2009 gothic bellydance festivals in Louisville,
KY.
